PRIVACY PROTECTION
We take privacy seriously. We will never share your details with any other organisation unless compelled to do so by law.
STANDARD CONTENT
Your listing will be in a standard format as shown on the example pages. We regret that no deviation will be possible.
MAILING LIST
We may send you notifications from time to time which will be infrequent. We will not spam you. You will have the option to opt-out of notifications but it would be useful to stay on the list to receive any special offers that may arise.
NO WARRANTIES OR GUARANTEES
Beauty Café was established with the express purpose of helping owners of small and home salons in South Africa to grow their businesses. We will give our best attention to this endeavour by promoting Beauty Café on the web and social media. There is, however, no guarantee that this will increase inquiries or sales for your business. Therefore, no warranties or guarantees of any kind are given or implied in the provision of this page to you and no claims can be made in this regard.
DURATION OF FREE LISTING
Your listing will remain free forever. However, there is a requirement that you need to respond to communications you may receive from time to time from Beauty Café. If we can’t get hold of you, we may assume you are no longer in business and will then remove your listing.
PLUS AND PRO PAGES
We now offer more detailed PLUS and PRO Page listings for a very reasonable monthly fee. These carry more detailed information including Price Lists, a Photo Gallery and a personalised Contact Form. The PRO page is like a one-page website and carries a lot more information than the PLUS page and is personalised to your requirements.
If you are interested in having a PLUS or PRO page, there are tick boxes near the bottom of this application form where you can indicate your preference and we will get in touch with you.
REGION COVERED
This site is limited to listings from South African-based businessed only. We may extend that to neighbouring countries of South Africa at some time in the future but no further. We have NO plans to accept listings from businesses located outside of Southern Africa at any time in the future.
INFORMATION CHANGES
You may submit one change of information per month during the free listing period. Additional changes are permitted but a R100 administration fee to help cover our costs will be required for each additional change.
QUALITY STANDARD
We reserve the right to reject listing entries if the information provided is insufficient to be a viable listing and (especially) if the images provided are not in keeping with the standards of our website. We don’t expect studio quality shots Photos may be taken with a cellphone and images need to be sharp and well-lit. If we reject anything, we will communicate with you and try to help you correct the problem.
PRODUCT ADVERTISING
We do not carry product advertising and have no plans to do so. You may list products you supply as part of your company listing. We will, however, not accept separate listings from distributors for each of their individual products unless those products are clearly listed as separate business entities, each with their own websites and social media pages.

Beauty Café respects privacy and is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to this site. We seek to employ best practice when it comes to the collection and processing of personal information. A brief summary of how we manage that is set out in this policy.

In order to fulfil certain services that can be requested through our site, such as salon and small business listings, we may need your email address, address, phone and other personal or business details and possibly your postal address. Only the information necessary for your business advertising will be displayed on our website and therefore open to the public.
Any other information provided by you, that is not used for your business advertising, will remain confidential and will not be passed on to anyone outside of Beauty Café without your prior consent. Sharing with any third party, should that become necessary, will only be done to service your business in response to a direct request from you.
Use of Personal Information
By checking the consent box on the ‘List my Business’ sign-up form, you are providing your consent for us to process your application, display your business on our website and send you future communications, messages and emails relating to your listing, including those of a promotional nature.
Data is held only as long as necessary. We will hold your details on our database until such time as you chose to unsubscribe from our newsletter service. You may do this at any stage by selecting the unsubscribe option on any email we send you or notifying us via email to info@beautycafe.co.za. Should you close your listing, your information will be removed from our website and mailing list.
Access and Correction
Please contact us at info@beautycafe.co.za if you:
- require access to any personal information we hold on you;
- wish to notify us of any change, modification or correction; or
- would like to have your personal information removed from our records.
We may require suitable proof of identity from you before we take action in respect of the above requests.
How we protect your information
We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information and data stored on our Site.
Sharing your personal information
We do not sell, trade, or rent Users personal identification information to others.
We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with our business partners, trusted affiliates and advertisers for the purposes outlined above.
